I still reel at the idea of being reduced to being “cuddly, supportive, essential” when there is no recognition of and support for my issues as a “co-transitioning” partner of a trans* person as well, including by the trans* person themselves. Not to mention my own gender issues or whatever else I may be struggling with (e.g. sexism, femininity-hate) that are (mostly) independent of my trans* partner.
